Recently we decided to take the plunge (second time around) and buy a house. We have a townhouse now, and it has served us well, but it's time to move on (maybe). We do need a wee bit more space on one level. We found a house but we lost it - oh well. There were a few needling things about it, so it was not meant to be. Of course, we still talk about it fondly. I digress. We decided to sell our home and now we live in a model home. Our Realtor came in and re-arranged our furniture, had us pack up our clutter, brought in some of their own accents, and now we live in a model home. In the morning we make sure our pajamas are neatly tucked away, our bed gets made (this used to never happen unless guests were coming over), close the lid to our toilets, put all dishes in the dishwasher, close every door to every closet, tuck all the toys away (poor Elliot has trouble finding anything), pull up the blinds, open the widows, etc., etc., etc. Essentially, pretend like you don't live here. I am starting to wish we didn't, yet it does look so good that sometimes we think about buying it.

Maybe I need to pretend we're selling our house and that potential buyers could pop by at any moment - do you think that would address our clutter and neatness issues :-)?

Thinking of you as you house hunt, knowing a home that's perfect for you is waiting for you to fill it! So excited for you...

Don't do it Hannah! First of all, you house wonderful and fine! Second of all, you'll have time for nothing else, which is part of the reason why this is my first post in two-months (Elliot's Birthday was the other part).

You are truly adorable, Amy. That all sounds pretty difficult, though. It would drive us nuts, but it seems like this is what it will take to get through the process at any point in time. May as well be now, if now is when you're ready to sell.
I think it's sadly sweet that Elliot has trouble finding anything. And, what about Thomas? Is he in bed deficit?
